Fani T. Willis is the District Attorney for Fulton County, Georgia, the state’s largest county and the home to over one million Georgians. It is home to most of the City of Atlanta, as well as many of the city’s suburban communities, including Sandy Springs, the City of South Fulton and several smaller communities north and south of Atlanta. She is the first woman to serve in the position.k

Realizing her passion for litigation, she then worked as a criminal defense attorney. As lead attorney, she handled dozens of jury trials, bench trials, and countless motions and hearings.

In 2021, Daysha rejoined the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office as the Executive Director of the Special Victims Unit. She is an experienced trial attorney who has expertise in trying cases involving homicides, sexual assault, child sexual and physical abuse, domestic violence, and vulnerable citizens of the community.
